Impact of Efficacy

Answer: Introduction: Self-efficacy is termed as the belief of a person in their own ability in their succession in specific circumstances or in the accomplishment of tasks. The sense of self-efficacy plays major roles in the manner people approach their goals and the challenges they face. It is, however, a fact that self-efficacy affects the thoughts of individuals (Winstanley, 2005). In most cases, people are faced with a lot of challenges some of which they are sure they cannot evade but, their belief in their personality that they can drives them to making their best in trying to overcome these challenges (Brown, Stoffel Munoz, 2011). Self-efficacy has been of help to me as I have always given my best in attempting things that are somehow not achievable. I have in some cases been courageous in attempting the things that may appear challenging and undoable. An example is a time where I had a feeling that I could not make it through my course. I gathered all the courage I had and convinced myself that I was able to do my best and set my mind at completing the course and attained my grades (Coon Mitterer, 2013). In improving my self-efficacy, it is important to try and control the overconfidence that I have in believing myself. At some point, the overconfidence that I have seems to be capable of defining my failure. In controlling me, it is possible that I will always think twice before making certain decisions or even attempting certain things.
